CardioPulmonary Diagnostic, LLC  offers “A Gift from Captain Buscio” Program. We provide annual, confidential medical evaluations for active and retired firefighters, law enforcement officers, and emergency medical responders across New Jersey. We offer evaluations at our New Jersey locations through a multidisciplinary team that includes board-certified cardiologists and pulmonologists, tailoring care to each individual’s medical history and occupational exposures. We protect your privacy and handle all medical information confidentially, consistent with HIPAA standards.

This program is designed specifically for first responders, who face higher heart and lung risks than the general public. The job often means going from rest to full intensity in seconds, working in heavy gear, in heat, with significant adrenaline spikes, and sometimes breathing smoke or other airborne particles. Add rotating or overnight shifts, poor sleep, and constant stress, and over months and years these repeated stresses can take a toll on the heart and lungs. The Captain Buscio Program addresses these risks with targeted cardiovascular and pulmonary evaluations that reflect real first-responder exposures. The goal is to identify early warning signs and provide clear, practical prevention guidance so you can stay healthy, perform at your best, and remain fit for duty and for life.

The program includes a medical history review, physical examination, and clinically appropriate cardiovascular and pulmonary diagnostic testing. Specific testing is determined by the treating clinician based on medical necessity and individual risk factors, and results and recommendations are reviewed with the patient. This program supports early identification of potential health concerns and does not replace ongoing care with a primary care clinician or specialist.
